Today we announce the availability of a hosting plan designed as a meaningful alternative to the plans currently touted to be particularly suited for semiologic users. I am of course speaking of Your Domains Name Hosting Company and SemiologicHosting.com.
Except to assure you that neither of the above companies are in any way associated with Semiologic, Mesoconcepts, Inc, or Meaningful Technologies Corporation and caution you to read the fine print in their terms of Service (TOS) before you consider either of them for hosting of your Semiologic site, I will not go into a detailed description of their despicable business practices – at least here.
Suffice it to say that after a horrific experience with Your Domains Name Hosting Company I began a search for a company where I could have everything I needed for hosting single Semiologic accounts with full but independent control over each domain such that I could allow others to have access without exposing any other sites to security issues.
The result is Meaningful Hosting, the meaningful alternative to everything else out there. All the details of the hosting plan have not yet been finalized but we are ready to talk to you about your needs. Stop over at Meaningful Hosting and look around. All of the things you want and need without the pain and suffering of dealing with impossible to understand Terms of Service designed only to separate you from your hard earned money.
Meaningful Hosting is perfectly suited for Semiologic sites. This site is hosted there and my personal sites including The Graphical Guru and Land Surveyors Notebook are hosted there. Check them out and then contact us.
Remember also our special $50.00 credit on a hosting plan with a purchase of Semiologic Pro from a link on this site or the Meaningful Hosting site.
There are a few dead incoming links to this site and there is a good reason for this. The meaningfultechnologies domains were under the control of Darrell Ridley, who at one time, I am now sorry to admit, was going to be my partner in a business relationship.
I formed the corporation and he obtained the domains. After the deal fell through and he refused to return nearly $40,000 USD that I wired to him according to contract, he created a rogue website using the meaningfultechnologies.com domain, claiming that Meaningful Technologies was a corporation formed in 2008 in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.
After finding that there was no such corporation, I filed complaints with SkyNetHosting.net, Darrell's hosting company, and with ASIC, the Austrailian Securities & Investment Commission, the agency that oversees corporations.
Within three hours of my complaint to SkyNetHosting, I received an email from Darrell Ridley informing me that the domains would be released to me. This was after several unsuccessful attempts to negotiate their acquisition.
Upon my acquiring the domains, I created this site. Since all of the old content was fraudulent, the content was not replicated, resulting in 404 errors. I am sorry about that but it was unavoidable.
The meaningfultechnologies dot com, dot net, dot org and dot us domains have all been transferred to me and are now owned by Meaningful Technologies Corporation.
I would like to thank SkyNetHosting for their assistance.

We are not easily impressed, but WishList Member is one amazing plugin. If you have wrestled with the installation and setup of aMember, this will be a welcome relief. Easily integrated into most WordPress themes, WordPress Wishlist Member is a powerful membership script that can turn your blog into a full blown membership site.
You have the ability to create any number of membership levels and can automatically change or promote a member from one level to another. This allows you for example, to give anyone who registers on your site, an introductory membership to promote the value of your content. You have full control in determining just what you wish to provide and for the length of time you wish to provide it.
The intent in this case is to convert these introductory memberships into a stream of subscribers who pay for your content. What could be better than that.
Another use for this feature would be to offer staggered content, presented as lessons whereby those who are new subscribers begin at the introductory level and as time passes, the are promoted or advanced to the next level. Twelve lessons equates to twelve levels of membership. Look at the possibilities. Members don't all join at the same time, and this allows everyone to begin when they want and get everything you have to offer.
Play the video and then decide. For a single site the cost is $97. For any number of sites that you own, the price is $297. Compare that with aMembers per site cost of $179.95 with an extra $40 for a WordPress plugin to allow site integration. And, don't forget the complicated aMember setup procedure.
WishList Member is contained entirely within your WordPress theme. No additional layouts to create, no change in look and feel, and no complicated scripts are required. Get up and running almost before you know it.
For most purposes, the decision is a no brainer. Check Wishlist Member out for yourself.
